Pahari Ka Qaidi tells the heart-wrenching story of a widowed mother and her disabled son, Aadil, who suffers from asthma and other health issues. The mother, a school teacher, works tirelessly to support him, but life deals her one blow after another.
When her landlord evicts them, she has nowhere to go. Circumstances lead her to a situation where she’s wrongfully imprisoned—and tragically, her young son is also locked up with her. In jail, Aadil’s fragile health worsens, yet the prison staff shows little concern. The mother, powerless and hopeless, watches her son deteriorate in front of her eyes.
Just when it seems there’s no escape, a Muhtasib-e-Aala (Ombudsman) visits the jail. Upon seeing the boy’s condition and hearing the mother’s story, he intervenes immediately—arranging for Aadil’s medical care and fighting the injustice they’ve faced. His compassion and swift action serve as a sharp contrast to the indifference of the system.
